The TruGem Team

 Gemma Leach

Passionate Equestrian

"I am a returning equestrian”.  I’m the person who enjoyed riding during my childhood and teen years and then left it behind as career and family took over as priorities.  Then as my circumstances changed, (got married, had kids who have now started school) I found myself with the time to rediscover my passion for all things equine.

Returning to riding has enriched my lifestyle and well-being and it has allowed me to discover a whole new circle of like-minded friends and this is an experience that I want to make available to others like myself.

This is the vision behind TruGem Equestrian

James Proctor

Working with me is James Proctor, who has been riding for over 20 years.  He started riding at a British military equestrian facility in Cyprus and, after leaving school, studied at Hartpury Equestrian College. Since leaving college, James has worked as a groom/rider for British showjumper Geoff Luckett before moving to work as rider and head lad for Olympic Silver medalist Steven Smith in Yorkshire.  During his time James has been fortunate enough to work with some of the biggest names in British Showjumping. For the past five years James has been building a solid reputation for quality riding training.
